From the President:
Thank you so much to everyone who’s been reaching out with love and support for Bill. It’s been a taxing weekend for us to say the least, but I know that Bill is touched by everyone who’s reached out to offer help and support.
One person in particular who’s gone above and beyond is Dr. Karl, who’s done everything in his power to make Bill’s stay at the hospital comfortable, including smuggling in some single malt for the old guy.
As we all know, Bill never wants to be the focus of everyone’s attention. He is more concerned with the club’s chance at a Cup this weekend than with his own well being. So for everyone who wants to help, we are asking that you make your way out to St-Julie (directions) this weekend to support the First XV and, by association, the man who embodies the Montreal Wanderers, Bill Powney.
Bring your family, friends, wear some Wanderers kit and let’s show the whole rugby community how the Wanderers family rallies together for one of our own.
We’re bringing home the cup for Bill!!!!
