The Lower Canada Voyageurs (EORU and FRQ) are looking for players, and you’re all invited to step up!

The CRC is the “Canadian Rugby Championship“, a national league that includes the Ontario Blues (Toronto), the Rock (NFLD), BC Bears (Langford BC) and the Prairie Wolf Pack (Calgary, AB). The Eastern Ontario Rugby Union (EORU) and the Federation de Rugby du Quebec (FRQ) will be joining the CRC as an expansion team for the 2013 season, and player selection starts NOW!

Andy Tolson, of the Montreal Irish, is organizing the FRQ side of things and setting up a couple of exhibition games against a rep side from the EORU. These games will be used as selection events to assemble the Voyageurs for the 2013 season, creating opportunities for Quebec based players to compete at a level significantly above provincial competition. National team selectors will be at CRC matches, so if representing Canada or playing rugby professionally appeals to you, then playing these trial matches is your first, best step.

If anyone is interested, send Andy your info:

Trial games are tentatively scheduled for:
May 6th, 2012
May 20th, 2012
I assume one will be near Ottawa and another in/around Montreal, but Andy will know more.
The Wanderers have a proud history of producing players who have represented Canada (Colin, Nik, Toni)… so who wants to be next?
