About the Montreal Wanderers
The Club
The Montreal Wanderers Rugby Football Club is a bilingual amateur men’s and women’s sports team founded in 1957, well-ingrained into the history, development, and legacy of both Québec Rugby and Canada Rugby.

Our Squads
With new blood and new partnerships, we expect to continue growing our rugby programs and spreading awareness of the beautiful game. If you’re interested in playing rugby, we are always actively looking for players of all levels includes first-time rugby players!
Senior Men
We are an inclusive rugby club that has produced several provincial Québec rugby and national Canada rugby athletes in both the 7s and 15s games. We field two men’s squads in competitions throughout the year (and are working to build a third), so there’s definitely a spot for everyone, both on the pitch and at the bar!

Senior Women
Since reforming as an independent team in 2018, the “Wander Women” composed of a brilliant mix of talented CEGEP, University, and Senior athletes, have won promotion to the Provincial 1 League and reached the Québec rugby finals under the guidance of seasoned Montreal Wanderer Kaneb Uphill.

Juniors (Boys & Girls)
In 2019, our Montreal Wanderers boys’ U19 team won the Provincial 7s Tournament in its first year of inception, and we are committed to building on this success in 2020 and beyond – including developing a parallel girls’ program. As such, we are always on lookout for high-potential juniors to join and grow with our youth program.

LaSalle Minis Program (U8-14)
The Montreal Wanderers are committed to growing the sport of rugby across Montréal and Québec. We believe that starting player development at a young age is the best way to produce top-quality players, capable of playing for their province, their country, or perhaps even professionally.
This year, the Montreal Wanderers are very proud to announce our partnership with the City of LaSalle to promote our new Minis program for U8-U14 youths, which will run throughout the season. The Minis’ training sessions are aimed at developing young players that will excel both on and off the pitch.
STARTING SOON! 4-week non-contact tag (flag) rugby program:
- Dates: June 03, 10, 17, and 24
- U8 & U10: 5:30-6:30pm
- U12 & U14: 6:30-7-30pm
- Where: Riverside Park (rue Raymond)
- Cost: $40 for 4 sessions + a t-shirt
