Today we are extremely proud to announce a new coaching team to breath new life into the upcoming 2018 season. Frenchman Alexandre Chaneac and Kiwi Terry Han join the Montreal Wanderers Rugby Football Club as Forwards Coach and Backs Coach respectively, bringing with them a wealth of international rugby coaching experience and athlete development pedigree.
Coach Alexandre Chaneac, hailing from the heartland of French rugby in the South of France, has been a part of rugby his entire life, reaching successful heights in both his playing and coaching career as high as National 1 Reserve French rugby. Coach Chaneac is a passionate and capable tight-5 tactician and coaches with a strong focus on free-flowing, ball in hand forwards rugby. We are extremely humbled to have Coach Chaneac part of our coaching setup this year and many years to come.
Coach Terry Han, a native of New Zealand, comes to the Wanderers with over 7 years of Coaching and Teaching experience in both an Academic and Club environment. As an accomplished Olympic Lifting Athlete competing with New Zealand for over 6 years as well as a long career at Flyhalf and Fullback, Coach Han has a strong focus on strength and conditioning and marries his athletic experience with his time coaching top collegiate and amateur rugby athletes at the Notre Dame Falcons Rugby.
The coaching staff will be present at the upcoming AGM meeting this Saturday at Dawson College. Please make sure you’re all in attendance to meet the new Senior Men’s Rugby Coaching Staff.
