Training Outdoors now on both days!

April 9, 2012

This week we will have outdoor practice both Tuesday and Thursday 6pm to 8pm. We’re practicing at Loyola Park in NDG (corner of Doherty and Somerled) on the turf soccer field (link to map). Again please bring cleats and running shoes as we may be running if the field is unavailable.

Under a month until the start of the regular season, and 3 weeks until the Ormstown Tournament!

Schedule and Training Locations

March 26, 2012

Greetings current and prospective Wanderers!

I am pleased to notify everyone the 2012 Schedule has been posted and can be found here. It is a good arrangement of home and away games, with enough time off for 7′s tournaments and recovery weekends/tours.

Indoor training times and locations have also been posted (here). We should be outside soon (if the weather cooperates), but in the mean time, we need everyone out at indoor training sessions. Our run for the cup (and our return to the Super League) starts now!

Wanderers online and in action!

October 22, 2011

The Wanderers were featured on “The Sport of Rugby” series on WatchMojo.com, with the following filmed at our practices and game vs. Quebec City during the Summer 2011 season. They have posted a couple of videos so far, which have been embedded below. If any additional videos are published, I’ll be including them here and archiving them in the Resources > Media section of the Wanderers website.

Just sit back and watch Stephan Chapheau tell it like it is…

Wanderers to be featured online!

August 15, 2011

Tuesdays practice is a very important one for the club.

WatchMojo.com has asked us to participate in a video discussing the origins of rugby and giving a demonstration of how the game is played. For this to be a success we need as many guys out to practice as possible. So whether you’re a current player, old boy or junior, injured or not registered this season, please make every effort to be out at practice on Tuesday.

This is great opportunity to get some good publicity for our club. We will be bringing both sets of jerseys on Tuesday but please wear your Wanderers shorts and socks and any other club paraphernalia that you have. Hopefully we’ll see all of you on Tuesday, please spread the word.
